Thinking for Success

“Many people do what we do…But it is up to each individual to determine if we allow others to do it as well.”
-Phil Melugin

We learned so much and different ways to change our thinking! Terri Tucker taught us to challenge our minds to get open and stay open.

What have you learned from the new Thinking for Success class?

Thinking and then producing! The process makes so much sense to me learning the creativity that I didn’t realize I had, Caves to think quietly, campfires (which I LOVE) for sharing stories, water holes for chatting and valuing others’ thoughts, then soaring with all to the mountain tops. I challenge myself to imagine outcomes and rise above the obvious. Great class, Thank you!

Thinking for Success was a wonderful class, as they all are. 🙂
My take back from the class was learning not to be afraid of thinking outside the box and sharing your ideas even if they are rejected, that’s ok, learn from the rejections, go back and try again. A companies growth comes from the employees. My favorite part was the camping and cave I was able to take that home and use it with my kids. Thank you Terri and Teresa you guys are rock stars .

I appreciated the emphasis on the difference between Imagination and Creativity. My definitions of both were refined through this class, creativity actually produces something be it a tangible product or an idea that is put into place to help manage an issue, Imagination is dreaming of that something without putting that dream into action. Terri emphasized that you can take a strong Imagination and train it to be creatively productive instead of losing your imagination all together. We are taught that to have an imagination or be creative as an adult is not an asset and that we need to leave that behind in our childhood. Phoenix is encouraging creative thinking to solve issues we face everyday! I think its great to know that we have the ability to change the way things are done with one creative idea/opportunity.

Thinking for Success was a great class for me because it is hard for me to put my ideas out there in fear of looking silly, I am that person who has always second guessed my ideas and sat in the back. This class has really opened up my thoughts of, no one will know if it’s a great idea if I don’t try to share my idea! I love how all these classes teach us so much but yet keep us so entertained and evolved in the class!

I really enjoyed learning the difference in being creative vs. critical and bringing those ideas together for solutions. It was really challenging to think of the steps before coming up with a solution, so i really enjoyed the workshops for this class. I also learned to control my imagination and channel that same energy into being more productive with creativity. As usual, great class Terri! Looking forward to more classes like thinking for success!

I always love attending the classes that Terri and Teresa put together! This is my second go around taking this course and this time it really hit home that I should take time to be still and quiet in an attempt to brainstorm one on one with myself. I plan to turn my vehicle into my “cave” considering I have a daily commute! I can’t wait to get into the new classes that will be offered soon and continue to learn how to be a better me to help make Phoenix more successful!

Loved this class and all that it had to offer. Had a blast with Terri and Teresa. Really enjoyed creative versus critical thinking and how to marry them together to produce. One of the most important lessons I took away from this class was that creative thinking is not going to just happen it must be purposeful and forced. I am not a person who slows down to just be silent and think so the cave exercise really made me reflect.

One of my major takeaways was this quote “Many people do what we do…But it is up to each individual to determine if we allow others to do it as well.”
    -Phil Melugin

There are many healthcare agencies that offer the same services that we do. It is up to us as a company to think creatively and critically on ways to set us apart from them. Just being “good enough” will not allow a company to prosper going forward. I am excited to work together with my fellow colleagues on ways to improve our procedures to insure that no other agency does things as well! Overall it was another great class put on by PHCU!

I liked this class as it made me think outside the box. What can we do that we aren’t already doing? How can we improve our procedures and policies in this ever changing market. The collaborating with others in the class is always a joy! Looking forward to what 2019 has for Phoenix!

I loved everything about this class. My biggest take away from this class was when Terri said “Build the world you see & find your way into it”. It reminded me that anything is possible if you are willing to put in the work and effort to accomplish it. I also learned that Beverly has an incredible imagination…She found an eagle in a painting of a woman. LOL
