I love this time of year! My oldest daughter is now at the age to where she is excited about Christmas and I can’t wait to start making traditions with her.I can’t wait to make paper snowflakes with a cup of hot chocolate while watching Elf.
One thing that I am going to work on is not letting myself get so busy with all the shopping, planning etc. that I forget the true meaning of Christmas.
Happy Holidays Phoenix Family!
-Tiffanie
Yes.. I love that Tiffanie!
I remember those happy times that Tiffani is talking about. Happy times and busy times. Those days are in the past for me now, my family is all grown, married and have families of their own. This time of year is not exciting for me as it was ‘back in the day’. It’s easier for me to connect emotionally with our older clients who are alone on the holidays. I am blessed with a large family so I am never alone, but I understand the sadness and lonely feelings some of our clients may experience. Let’s remember them this holiday season. We may be the only ‘family’ that they see for Christmas.
That is so true, Jean.
It is a special time of year, even though we have clients that are alone, we also have some that are preparing to lose their loved ones, and to sit along and listen to them pour their heart out to you is sometimes what one needs, don’t worry about what you are going to get who, but listen closely, it might be a small detail about something that you can help bring back that wonderful memory to make them smile during these times.
Enjoy making memories with your family and friends and do not sweat the small stuff!
