What does it mean to “manifest” something? Some gurus would have us believe it means – ‘if we think about something long enough it will happen.’ There is something missing from that description…the DOING. We CAN manifest… it begins with thinking and creating in our minds – then it comes to life by DOING…working hard…working smart.
We can’t get rich by sitting on the couch thinking about money. At some point we have to get up and do something that actually makes the money.
So – I have been thinking about goals this month. I like to set a personal goal for the summer. I can THINK about dieting and getting into that bikini!!! HA! But I would have to get off that couch and exercise! I don’t think I want to MANIFEST that! I am happy with my tankini and my occasional Hurts Donut!!!
What I would really like to MANIFEST is three months of true PROGRESS TOWARD IMPORTANT ACHIEVEMENTS. So I am going to:
- completely finish my leadership book.
- begin a one-individual-at-a-time coaching relationship with eager learners at Phoenix.
- launch Captain Series #6 on Winning Work Habits.
What are you going to MANIFEST in the three months of summer? Would love to hear about it.
I love this Terri! What a great reminder we can only do what we want to achieve in life by imagining our future and doing something to achieve our goals. How sad life would be if we didn’t dream and hope for goals in our lives. We are only as good as we see ourselves. I have a big goal set for myself this summer and already have things in place to achieve it!
believe to achieve
I enjoy the challenge of Terri’s post. I must admit that I am not always 100% successful when I set goals, but I have been working on a personal goal and feel I have made some progress. The summer of 2017 is ‘young’, so I have several months remaining to be 100% spot on!!! I recognize I need to do more than just imagine, I need to work at it – so let’s go !!
As always, I love the inspiration I find in reading these blogs and blog posts. Referring back to the word we chose for the year, I have really been focusing on mine. I printed the word out and put it where I look at it everyday. My word was GROW. The year is halfway through and I’ve already made good progress… and as Jean said, the summer is young so I’m kickin’ it into overdrive. Is anyone else thinking of their word for 2017 when thinking about this blog post?
