Selling Soaring and Serving

November 13, 2018 by Emily Hagen 2 Comments

This class was fantastic. It was refreshing to see this philosophy being taught here at Phoenix. Being a social worker, the Go Giver philosophy is perfectly inline with social work values and how we are taught to approach our clients/patients. I enjoyed seeing other people have the light bulb moments regarding understanding that you can’t MAKE someone feel a certain way. Our goal is to provide people with the knowledge in order to make the best educated decision whether it is with Phoenix or not. I am constantly saying around the office that my job is to plant the seeds, water them and watch them grow. It was nice to know that I was farming all along without knowing it. I am so excited to see the impact this has on my coworkers and on our company. I feel every single employee should go through this course as we all make an impact selling our company.

I agree with Emily! As the other social worker in the room, it was refreshing to see how this class aligns with my personal and social work values!!!
I really appreciated the demonstration of important questions – focusing on WHY rather than Where, What, Who, etc. It really put into perspective how much more information we can gather by asking WHY. Not only do we get information, but also get to understand deeper motivations and values. I could go on forever about how valuable this class was. I appreciate working for a company that values personal and professional development. That is only a small reason why “selling” this company is easy – because we believe in it and feel valued.
I’ll finish with this, as I have been focusing on Gratitude in November, I loved ending the class on such a positive note about gratitude. I was surprised to learn Anxiety and Joy affect the same parts of our brain. Meaning you cannot be happy and anxious at the same time. By choosing to focus on the good things and things we are grateful for, we can overcome the negative cycles of anxiety.
Awesome class! Thank you all so much for another great opportunity to learn and grow, as well as a delicious dinner.
