Hello! Welcome to the Captain’s Series Blog. We are so excited about having a place to continue the conversations and learning we start in our Captain’s Series classes.
For instance – I am super excited to hear about the implementation of great ideas discovered in our Creative Thinking class. PLEASE post on here any great actions you are putting into practice. I remember conversations about call backs to field staff – check-in calls, pulling up positive behavior and recruitment ideas.
We also know there are go givers out there who flourished in “Selling, Soaring and Serving.” Tell us a story about someone losing the “in order to” and finding success in serving others. Come on “farmers” I know you are out there!
This is OUR chat room. Chat it up! Let’s have positive conversations about our positive culture.

We are ready to hear about the different ideas & changes that have come out of our Captain Series Classes!

Thanks for setting this up!
Happy Thanksgiving week to you and your families! David
Hello team – I can’t wait to hear about the things Teri mentioned and how you all have given them life in your regions… please share and we will all learn from your wonderful creative ideas!
Thank you!!
Gwen
I was so happy when this blog got up and running so thank you to all of those who worked diligently to do so back in 2017.. I thought I had blogged back then on the classes.
Others Centered Leadership taught us the “type’ of leaders, the beliefs of the Other’s Centered Leader and the behaviors of the Other’s Centered Leader. Behaviors to inspire, grow people, collaborate, remove obstacles, coach-coach-change, communicate, celebrate, demonstrate, learn, teach and to create fun.
It has always been my honor to grow people, to value their input (like Kim and Phil value mine), and to have a heart for people.
I have a great example of “giving” – and “losing the in-order-to”. Paul Monday and Mallary Harp along with Gwen Beebe and Sherry Haney from PinOak Designs worked so hard to get this blog up and running. There was no ‘in order to” for them…it was simply to serve and have a more contemporary and engaging way to talk with our teams. Thank you GIVERS!
Because it is the day before Thanksgiving, I want to say how privileged I feel to be a part of the Phoenix Family. Thank You Phil & Kim. Wishing you all a blessed day – be thankful. Jean
I’m so excited that this blog is available to us! Inspiration is evident around here and feeds our daily agendas.
After the most recent Go-Giver class, I had two different team members visit with me about the topic of recruiting that seemed to be a bit of a theme during class. I was thankful for new ideas and thoughts; we all need encouragement and refreshers. Because of the suggestions that I was given, we continue to rise above the average recruitment standards of our industry and keep it at the Phoenix Level of Excellence!
